Music

I play guitar and double bass. Solo jazz guitar for restaurants, weddings, and private events, and pit orchestra work on both instruments. I teach private lessons too. To hire me, start at the booking page. Live and promotional photos are in the gallery, and the music section holds the rest.

Photography

All 35mm film, mostly shot on a Canon FTb. Every roll gets its own page, and are mostly travel photos. Some of it ends up on Glass.

Software

The day job. I manage an engineering team and have been in the industry over eight years; the CV has the details. Side projects live on GitHub.

Writing

The blog is ordered by year. Jazz theory is most of it: harmonic analyses of standards, plus reference posts on chord naming, harmonic function, and the symbols the analyses use. Reading notes go up as I finish books, with a list for each year or all of them at once. The rest is about technology and attention, like the quantified self and focus tools.

This site

An exercise in computational and design minimalism. Built with Zola, a Rust-based static site generator; the stylesheet is ~2.2kB and there is no JavaScript. Neither your bandwidth nor your attention will be exploited here, and there is no tracking software or spyware. There never will be.
